A multi-sensory performance exploring King Seongjong’s dream of a future intertwined with the present, brought to life through captivating music and dynamic visuals.

‣ Sysnobsis
In the year 1494, on a night filled with sorrow following the death of King Seongjong, his spirit lingers on the threshold between life and death. As he wanders through Seolleung — the royal tomb where he will soon be laid to rest — he encounters a young boy named Yul.
Yul, attempting to secretly play his flute, accidentally breaks the sacred “King’s Tree.”
Though Seongjong initially scolds him, he soon notices the boy has lost his melody, and offers him a lesson with warmth and wisdom.
Inspired, Yul begins to compose a mysterious tune — one that opens a window to the future King Seongjong once dreamed of.
However, when Yul witnesses a series of tragic events from history, he is overcome with despair.
Seeing the boy’s sorrow, Seongjong comforts him, reminding him that the cultural seeds he once planted will blossom into light for future generations.
He encourages Yul to face the darkness with strength and hope.
On the day of Seongjong’s royal funeral procession to Seolleung, Yul’s completed melody resounds throughout the tomb.
As the music fills the air, Seongjong, at last, glimpses the radiant future he had long dreamed of — shining beyond the city’s night skyline.
