Joseon Royal Tombs: Beholding 500 Years of Majesty
- Description
- The 2025 World Heritage Joseon Royal Tombs Festival is a cultural event designed to promote the historical value of the Joseon Royal Tombs, a UNESCO World Heritage site, both domestically and internationally, and to provide opportunities for visitors to experience the royal tombs up close. The Joseon Royal Tombs, which are the burial sites of the kings and queens of the Joseon Dynasty and the emperors and empresses of the Korean Empire, are a treasured heritage and the only royal tombs of a single dynasty in the world to have been preserved in their entirety. This festival offers performances, tours, hands-on experiences, and exhibitions that bridge tradition and modernity, giving visitors a chance to truly feel the spirit of the Joseon Royal Tombs.
